The New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) has approved OptiMiser software for submission of NYSERDA-qualified home improvement projects through its pilot HPXML-based contractor portal. OptiMiser will pilot its software with a limited number of pre-approved NY Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® contractors over the next few months. After the pilot phase, all participating contractors will be able to use OptiMiser for all phases of NYSERDA home performance projects. Throughout the pilot and after, the NYSERDA audit tool rebate can be applied to the purchase of OptiMiser licenses.
The addition of OptiMiser to the NY State program promises to make it easier for contractors to sell jobs and perform energy efficiency work in New York.
