Utility data loaded directly into Optix (either via KITT or as a file
from some other resource):
• This file is visible and available for download from within Optix
directly to the local PC
• This file is downloadable as a UTL file to OptiMiser according to the
following rules:
+ If the project file is RECEIVED and the UTL has been RECEIVED at the
same time, the UTL file will be loaded automatically into the project;
+ If the project file is RECEIVED and the UTL file is not immediately
available, the UTL file can be loaded into Optix at a later time and
RECEIVED and loaded at a later time in OptiMiser by using the “Get Utils”
button;
+ Both of these conditions are subject to the following constraint –
if there are already utility data entered on the project (manually or from
a UTL file) then the UTL file will not be loaded automatically
Utility data entered directly by the contractor into the OptiMiser
project:
• These data can be either original data (i.e., when there is no UTL
file delivered via Optix) or data acquired by the contractor that is more
current/representative than the UTL file that was originally RECEIVED and
is entered in the field by the contractor;
• The data entered directly into OptiMiser can be attached to the
project as physical evidence for verification as files (i.e., photos/PDF
scans of bills, a spreadsheet, or any other file-based evidence);
• Any utility data file(s) attached to the project get delivered with
the project at SEND and are delivered to Optix as a ZIP file.
