If you find that the electric usage data beings transferred from Optix to OptiMiser is either the wrong account or does not include multiple accounts or multiple meters then its a mistake on the Efficiency Vermont end and please let us know.

If you click on Multiple Accounts then you should see a line for each unique utility account that we have associated with the project. If there are multiple meters on the same account you should see the total usage for both meters on a single line for that one account. If there are multiple accounts then you should see multiple lines (one for each account).

Be aware that there is only one $/kwh price. We have run into a few issues with DHW off-peak rates (Rate3) being only $.088 per kwh on the DHW meter and the other meter being at $0.15 (Rate1). The default in this case will be the state average $0.17 loaded price. You will have to choose a single rate (I believe) and what you choose may depend on what your recommendations are. If you are installing heat pump heating units use the higher rate but if your heating system remains fuel based and the only recommendation that saves significant electricity is on a low electric rate (Rate 3 DHW for example) you may want to enter the lower rate.

    Anything to add OptiMiser?

Paul and Andy – can I suggest as easier method would be to enter measures like these as “other” measures in the “safety” section of the tool. Just under critical issues… or those you mention specifically can be entered as “moisture” issues in the critical issues section that have a recommendation to repair.

Thanks for the explanation. I wouldn’t go ahead just yet and change it so that all “batt” installations are NOT continuous since it is also very common to install the batts in 2 layers, one in the cavity and one across the joists. Seems like the ability to specify the detail would be a better modification… or maybe the ability to edit the path layer directly so as not to clutter the UI.

I think a useful consideration is to remember that it doesn’t have to be monthly to be useful. They do need to be tank fill-ups and not partial deliveries. Enter the date and usage from the delivery receipts you (the customer or fuel company) provides even if its just two deliveries as long as that covers an entire year. Many fuel dealers can provide an electronic fuel delivery history but will only do so with customer release. Also, many customers keep these records and most (all?) dealers leave a receipt when making a delivery.

Paul – We wanted to keep the block of text limited since we received lots of customer feedback about them glossing over big blocks of text. If you (or others reading this) have desire to write more than has been allowed we can consider allowing particular areas to run on as long as you want them to. The places I think we could consider doing this for are the letter (p.2) and the Summary (p.3). Let us know.
